Telluride

A former silver mining camp on the San Miguel River, the town of Telluride sits in a picturesque box canyon among the western San Juan Mountains. Surrounded by steep forested mountains and cliffs, with the famous Bridal Veil Falls at the canyon's head, Telluride is perhaps one of the most scenic places in all of Colorado, if not the United States. This sculpture captures the rugged and epic scenery of Telluride, Mountain Village and Telluride Ski Resort, the 14,153-foot Mount Sneffels to the north, and Ophir to the south.
